Global Connection

Students at Carver Lyon celebrated International Day of Peace with a permanent Peace Pole. The Honorable Richard Lott, Richland County Sheriff, led an engaging discussion on compassion and global citizenship.

Following the dedication, community leaders read aloud Peace Week in Miss Fox’s Class to the students, who then participated in a pen-pal writing activity with students at a girls’ school in Nairobi, Africa.
