International Trends & Services

The mission of the International Trends and Services facet is to expand the global platform for programs designed and developed to service the educational, health and cultural needs of people of African descent throughout the world. The Columbia (SC) Chapter of The Links, Inc. recently partnered with the Crown Jewels Charlotte Chapter to send care packages to Guyana. The Global Medical Team from Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC sponsored a trip to

Guyana to provide medical exams, eye exams, dental services and deliver the 400-500 care packages provided by our Links chapters. This falls in line with our national “Boots on the Ground” approach to take care of our community internationally. Locally, the Columbia (SC) Chapter hosted a HBCU International Student Globalism Discussion at Allen University in Fall 2018 in which students from Benedict University, Allen University and the University of South Carolina were invited.
