National Trends & Services
The vision of the National Trends and Services facet is to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services through advocacy, education, and service. The Columbia (SC) Chapter has a long-standing commitment to improving the lives of women in our community by providing meals, new home welcome packages and financial support to Sistercare, Inc. The Columbia (SC) Chapter is expanding their community reach to provide support to the residents of Hannah House, a local shelter for women and children, and homeless female veterans. Additionally, continuing the Chapter’s on-going mission to educate the community, the Chapter will focus on higher education and continue to partner with Benedict College and Allen University. Furthermore, because of the tremendous needs in Richland County School District One and neighboring districts, the Chapter will continue to provide mini-grants to teachers to assist them with the financial challenges of educating our children.
